Halloween is creeping up, and FREAKOUT is back on Friday 31 October, taking over Karangahape Road for a night of chaos, creativity, and pure Halloween magic.
Get ready for a full-strip celebration packed with chills, thrills, and fun for all ages.
Kick off the night with the K’ Road Trick or Treat Trail, where brave little monsters can explore participating venues to find Treat Boxes filled with sweet surprises (or the occasional trick). The adventure ends with the Mini Monsters Costume Awards hosted by SMALL RAVE, where the tiniest ghouls can strut their spooky style and win wicked prizes.
Don’t miss the return of the Howloween Paw Parade, hosted by Crushes, celebrating our four-legged freaks in their finest costumes.
And yes — THE QUEENS ARE BACK! Kita Mean and Rita Menu will host the over-16s Costume Competition, where camp, creepy, and chaotic collide on stage.
Discover the Celestial Spooky Markets at Beresford Square — a twilight bazaar of local makers, witchy wares, hair and makeup booths, and a Halloween photobooth to immortalise your hauntingly good look.
Across K’ Road, expect live music, DJs, art, spooky cocktails, and eerie light installations bringing the street to life (and death).
